Suitable for all guitarists with some familiarity with the fingerboard and a basic grasp of scale types who are keen to expand their repertoire: shapes, comping, scale choices, improv, substitutions and styles are all covered in these sessions that aim to deliver a fun and enlightening look at jazz guitar technique. Each week we’ll take a tune from the jazz standard repertoire and work through the various features of the piece, referencing theory, technique and stylistic considerations.
